Humphrey Omukaga Ekanyait is a Kenyan architect, entrepreneur, real estate professional and civic leader with a strong interest in sustainable development, youth empowerment, governance, innovation and economic transformation. He is passionate about using architecture, entrepreneurship, technology and strategic partnerships to create opportunities, improve livelihoods and contribute to Africa’s development.

Humphrey completed his architectural studies at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT). His professional interests include sustainable architecture, green building design, construction, property development and environmentally responsive design. His experience includes exposure to international architectural practice through an internship with SHE Architekten in Germany, as well as engagement with green architecture initiatives in Japan through OSA Japan. His architectural experience includes work involving passive ventilation solutions for automotive facilities, including Toyota Kenya Academy, DT Dobie, CFAO along Lusaka Road and BMW Welt.

In real estate and entrepreneurship, Humphrey serves as the Chief Executive Officer of HMG Realty Group Ltd, a company involved in property acquisition, investment advisory, development, sales, letting, rentals and property management. Through HMG Realty Group, he works to connect property owners, investors, developers and other stakeholders with strategic real estate opportunities in Kenya and beyond. His vision is to build a trusted real estate brand that delivers value through sound investment strategies, professional service and sustainable development.

Humphrey also serves as Global Marketing Director for the International Christian Business Network Association (ICBNA) and the Gluemark Platform*l, where his interests span international business development, digital marketing, strategic partnerships and emerging technology. He is particularly interested in the opportunities presented by artificial intelligence, digital skills development and global digital work platforms in expanding economic participation and creating new income opportunities.

As the Chairperson of the Kenya Civic Youth Alliance (KCYA), Humphrey is committed to strengthening youth participation in governance, civic education, voter registration, leadership development and economic empowerment. Through the organisation, he supports initiatives that equip young people with knowledge, skills and platforms to participate meaningfully in public affairs and contribute to national development. His civic leadership reflects his belief that young people should not merely observe decisions affecting their future but should actively participate in shaping them.

His leadership journey also includes involvement in the Green Change Initiative, reflecting his interest in environmental sustainability and community transformation. He is a recipient of the African Student Leader Award 2025 and is a [Alliance High School) Bush Alumni Class of 2017 alumnus. His earlier leadership experience includes serving as President of the IAESTE JKUAT Chapter and participating in international exchange and professional development opportunities.

Beyond his professional responsibilities, Humphrey is interested in media, public dialogue, leadership interviews and discussions on governance, business and development. He believes that effective leadership requires integrity, collaboration, innovation and a willingness to create opportunities for others.

Humphrey’s long-term vision is to contribute to a more sustainable, economically empowered and civically engaged Africa by bringing together architecture, real estate investment, technology, entrepreneurship and youth leadership. Through his professional and civic work, he seeks to build lasting institutions, establish meaningful partnerships and create impact that extends beyond individual success to benefit communities and future generations.
